Pinellas Park, Florida-- UPDATE: All lanes of 118th Ave. in Pinellas Park reopened shortly after 7 p.m. Thursday night after officials shut them down earlier to investigate a fatal crash.
According to reports, the crash occurred sometime around 3 p.m. after 71-year-old John Britt ran a red light while heading north on 49th St.
His car, a 2000 Toyota Echo, crossed into the path of a semi tractor trailer driven by 40-year-old Daniel Oney.
Officials say Oney did not suffer any injuries in the crash, but they pronounced Britt deceased at the scene.
Officials continue to investigate the crash, though they say they do not anticipate filing any charges.
